  • Sharing Information

Information you may provide to LALS for donation purposes will be kept confidential.  For our records we will request your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and donation amount (cash or goods).  Annually, you will receive a notice about your contributions for the year.  While we strive to protect your personal information, LALS cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.

We do not sell individual names or other private profile information to third parties. LALS may use contact information to reach you regarding your donation or our services.

  • Online Surveys/Comments

LALS values opinions and comments from supporters, and may conduct occasional online surveys.  These surveys are optional.  Typically, the information is aggregated and used to make improvements to LALS and to develop content/features for our audience.  Survey participants are anonymous unless otherwise stated in the survey.

We will respond to e-mails in a timely manner. We encourage your correspondence via e-mail as we can respond more quickly to your requests. We regret that we are unable to provide professional advice or services through this web site.

  • Promotion

Other sites may promote LALS and LALS promotes our partner sites.  The promotional banner ads will be kept to a minimum to avoid blitzing our audience.  If you find our site worthwhile, a recommend feature will allow you to spread the news about the site.

  • Cookies

“Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive.  We have no intention of using cookies.  Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but if you prefer, you can edit your browser options to block them in the future.

  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

This web site collects no information on children and is in compliance with COPPA as passed into law on April 22, 2000. As defined by COPPA, the rule applies to individually identifiable information about a child that is collected online, such as full name, home address, e-mail address, telephone number or any other information that would allow someone to identify or contact the child.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) says that if you operate a commercial Web site or an online service directed to children under 13 that collects personal information from children or if you operate a general audience Web site and have actual knowledge that it collects personal information from children, you must comply with COPPA.
